The longtime lottery player from Woodlawn purchased the brightly-colored100X the Cash $20 scratch-off at Ingleside Liquors at 5648 Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville along with a six-pack of beer.

He scratched the ticket in the store and saw the 100X symbol over the $10,000 prize on the bottom row, revealing his total $1 million win, before hustling home from the busy Baltimore County store.

“I’ve played for 20 years,” he told lottery officials. “I never won this big until now!”

The restaurant and construction worker plans to stock his winnings into his bank account to help him spend wisely, but he’s also got a visit to his mother in Central America on his mind.
