Julia “Julie” Ann Money "was a great friend to anyone she met" before her unexpected death in her Mechanicsville home with her husband 46-year-old Daniel Money.
Her death came following a lengthy battle with severe headaches that resulted in her being flown from St. Mary's Hospital Center to Washington Hospital Center for emergency neurosurgery, according to a GoFundMe set up for her.
"That is where they found a cyst in the frontal lobe of her brain," Michelle Guy wrote in October 2022. "Julie had no previous symptoms that she was aware of prior, so this was a huge shock to us all.
"Her neurosurgery was considered to be successful but unfortunately she had complications and suffered multiple seizures (and) a stroke."
Money "loved her family fiercely and was very protective of her loved ones," according to her obituary.
"Julie was an amazing Mother, the bond between her and Maddox was like no other," her loved ones wrote. "She loved the beach, camping, and of course Halloween.
"Julie was the happiest when she was home, lounging on her couch watching shows, and eating carryout with Maddox and Danny."
Friends added, "She (was) such a bright light everywhere she goes and has a huge heart."
Services for Money were set for Wednesday, Feb. 26.
"If you were lucky enough to know Julie, you would know how strong she was and had no problem speaking her mind," her obit states.
"She was truly the life of the party. Julie could light up any room with her smile, the world will be duller without her in it."
