Pedestrian Killed By Hit-Run Driver In Maryland Identified By Police A driver is at large after a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian over the weekend in Prince George's County, police say. Oxon Hill resident Melvin Garcia, 35, has been identified by investigators as the person who was killed by a driver who fled the scene on Friday afternoon.  According to the Prince George's County Police Department, at around noon on Aug. 16, Garcia was struck in the 6200 block of Oxon Hill Road in Oxon Hill in an area parking lot by a driver in a truck. Motorcyclist Killed In Laurel Crash A motorcyclist was killed in an overnight crash in Laurel, police said. The unidentified man was heading north on Washington Boulevard on a Suzuki GSX-S750 when it struck a truck turning left near Lynn Buff Court around 4:10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, Howard County police said. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the truck were uninjured. The cause of the collision is under investigation. Washington Boulevard in the area of the collision was closed for approximately 3 ½ hours.
