Maryland State Police are investigating the death of a 29-year-old woman who was found with multiple injuries in Cecil County early Wednesday morning. Troopers responded to the 800 block of Bethel Road in Chesapeake City shortly before 6 a.m. on Dec. 18, according to state police, where they found the woman - whose name has not been released. A Maryland man is facing a murder charge after his 88-year-old father - who shares the same home with him - was found with fatal injuries, police say. Fabian Newsome, 48, was arrested by members of the US Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force in connection to the death of David Newsome in the 12000 block of Sandalwood Lane in Silver Spring this week. One person was killed overnight in a fire that broke out inside a Frederick County home, officials confirmed. First responders were called around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 to the 11000 block of Highland School Road, where there was a reported fire in Myersville. Upon arrival, Frederick County Fire and Rescue Service crews found a mobile home with "extensive fire showing" and were informed that it may be occupied, prompting an emergency search. New details have been released by police following a crash that left a 39-year-old dead she struck a concrete barrier on Friday morning on Route 32 in Howard County. An investigation was launched over the weekend by the Howard County Police Department after the driver of a 2013 Ford Explorer crashed in Columbia, and then was struck by a second vehicle early on Aug. 2, investigators say.
