Driver Indicted In Fatal Maryland Rollover Crash That Ejected 59-Year-Old Woman: Sheriff
A year after a violent rollover crash claimed the life of a Maryland woman, a grand jury has indicted the driver accused of causing it.
Zykera Sharnae Shubrooks-Nunley, 21, of Lexington Park, was indicted following an investigation into the fatal February 2025 crash on Great Mills Road, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday, Feb. 13.
The collision happened on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025, in the 21000 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park and involved a Nissan Armada and a Chevrolet Cobalt.

A deadly collision on a pitch-black stretch of a Virginia highway turned violent when a man’s friend reportedly attacked the driver who hit him, authorities said.
Deputies responded around 2:55 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, to the 10400 block of Patriot Highway, where a pedestrian had been struck by a northbound vehicle, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office said.
The victim, later identified as 41-year-old Quinton Howard of Spotsylvania, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His family has been notified, investigators noted.
