With millions of travelers hitting the road before Thanksgiving, some will have to wait to reach their destination after a multi-vehicle crash temporarily blocked several lanes on I-270. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded at around noon on Wednesday, Nov. 27 to a stretch of the northbound lanes involving multiple vehicles and a tractor-trailer. A multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer that leaked fuel onto I-270 tied up traffic on Tuesday afternoon in Montgomery County. In advance of the evening commute in Gaithersburg, several northbound lanes were blocked on Oct. 22 when a truck was involved n a multi-vehicle crash that resulted in fuel being spilled onto the roadway. Maryland State Police continue to investigate a crash that resulted in the death of a dump truck driver and motorcycle enthusiast on I-270 in Montgomery County.
