An armed robbery at a Maryland high school stadium prompted a police response and briefly put the building in a secure status before a teen suspect was taken into custody, authorities say. Two 10th-grade boys will be charged as adults after a loaded gun was found hidden inside a banned bookbag at Wise High School in Upper Marlboro, according to Prince George’s County Police. The incident happened around 1:55 p.m. Thursday, May 1, when school security officers saw one student hand off a black bookbag to another student in a hallway. A Virginia third grader brought a loaded handgun to school — and it went off inside his backpack, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office said. Now, his parents are the ones facing charges. The gun went off inside a classroom at Lee Hill Elementary School around 10:50 a.m. on Monday, April 7, according to investigators. Suspicious Person Walking Halls Of Frederick County High School Arrested For Assaulting Staffer
It only took a week for members of the Frederick County Sheriff's Office to apprehend a person wanted for assaulting a staff member while trespassing at an area high school, authorities announced. At approximately 11 a.m. on Sept. 17, a questionable man entered Urbana High School through an exterior door, and was walking the halls until a staff member spotted him and attempted to take him outside of the building.
