Disney has agreed to pay $10 million after the company was accused of allowing personal data from children under 13 to be collected through mislabeled YouTube videos. The Federal Trade Commission announced the settlement in a news release on Tuesday, Sept. 2. Federal regulators said Disney Worldwide Services, Inc. and Disney Entertainment Operations LLC failed to properly designate some of its kid-focused videos as "Made for Kids." Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin has ordered a criminal investigation into claims that Fairfax County Public Schools arranged and paid for abortions for students without informing their parents.
