The shooting was reported around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, near Fredericksburg Road and Taylor’s Hill Lane in Hanover, police said Monday. A man armed with a bow and arrow was shot and killed by police during a confrontation in Maryland, authorities confirmed. A detective opened fire on a man with a curious choice of weapon during a standoff in Arbutus that ended with his death, according to the Baltimore County Police Department. A 68-year-old man suffered serious injuries after being pulled from a blazing Owings Mills townhome during a two-alarm fire sparked by discarded smoking materials, fire officials said. Fire crews raced to the 9800 block of Bon Haven Lane just before 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, after getting reports of a dwelling fire with heavy flames, Baltimore County Fire said in a release.
