Motorcyclist Killed In Head-On Crash With BMW In Maryland, Police Say
A weekend ride ended in tragedy when a motorcyclist lost control and slammed into a BMW along a Maryland roadway, police confirmed.
The victim, 30-year-old Patrick Adam Smith of Bowie, was killed in the crash, which was reported around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, near the 22000 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Brookeville, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police.

A high-end title-washing ring based in central Pennsylvania profited more than $1 million by selling stolen luxury cars from Florida, Attorney General Dave Sunday announced on Wednesday, Aug. 6.
The fraudulent operation was allegedly led by 44-year-old Anthony E. Troncoso, who, with a network of 12 others, used fake documents to “wash” vehicle titles, then sold over two dozen stolen cars to private buyers, dealers, and auction houses between 2022 and 2023, according to AG Sunday.

Two women were killed when a utility truck slammed into their car while they were crossing Route 301 in Queen Anne’s County, authorities said.
Valerie Haines, 63, and Patricia Mead, 86, both of Ridgely, died at the scene of a violent two-vehicle crash on Thursday, July 24 in Church Hill, according to Maryland State Police.
Troopers said the crash happened shortly before 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of southbound US Route 301 and Price Station Road.
