Police ID 20-Year-Old Springfield Man Killed In Shooting Authorities have identified the 20-year-old killed in a Springfield shooting last week.  Joel Warren was shot on Oct. 1 on Hall Street. Police received a ShotSpotter notification around 4:45 p.m., Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni announced on Thursday, Oct. 7. Springfield police rushed to the scene and found Warren suffering from a gunshot wound. Ameer Nasir, 25, of Trumbull, pleaded guilty to wire fraud on March 6, and US District Judge Kari A. Dooley sentenced him on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
