Prince George's County Police Officer Arrested For Vehicle Violation, Suspended: Officials
An off-duty Prince George's County Police officer has been suspended without pay after being arrested last week, authorities announced on Monday morning. Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department charged Police Officer Sierra Alston with unauthorized use of a vehicle and related offenses, police say. Officer-Involved Shooting Lands One On Administrative Leave In Prince George's County: Police
A member of the Bowie Police Department has been placed on administrative leave after discharging a weapon that struck a vehicle, officials say. At approximately 8 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, an officer pulled over to assist with what was believed to be a stranded motorist in the northbound Collington Road near US-50. While approaching the vehicle, police say that the officer discharged their firearm, though it remains unclear later in the afternoon what caused the gun to go off.
