A fast-moving, two-alarm fire ripped through a Montgomery Village townhouse complex early Friday morning, forcing firefighters to rescue trapped residents and leaving at least 22 people displaced, officials said. A massive fire tore through a home in Montgomery County, leaving a family of six displaced—but not before firefighters managed to save a group of newly acquired baby chicks, officials said. Excessive Heat Watch Issued For Most Of DMV Region With Temperatures Approaching 100 Degrees
Forecasters are cautioning that oppressive heat may be headed to the DMV region with temperatures possibly approaching 100 degrees in the area.
