Repeat DUI Offender Drove 43 Miles Drunk From Charles County To Stafford, Sheriff Says A La Plata woman who traveled more than 40 miles from Maryland to Virginia before stopping for a nap at a traffic light is facing another DUI offense, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, deputies were called to investigate a possible drunk driver, where they found Amy Cooksey, 59, parked at the traffic light in front of Sheetz on Kings Highway unconscious behind the wheel. DUI Driver Kills Wscc Worker In Montgomery County: Police A 39-year-old WSCC worker was killed after being struck by a DUI driver early Sunday, Sept. 8 in Montgomery County, police said. Clinton's Ernest Joseph Dyson was working at New Hampshire Avenue and Rodney Road in Hillandale, when he was struck by a 2011 Volkswagen CC around 4:40 a.m., police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of a black 2011 Volkswagen CC was reportedly uninjured. Dyson, a WSSC Water employee, was on the job at the time he was struck, according to police. No additional details were provided.
