Katravien Tyrieus Vercher was sentenced to 40 years in prison for preying on three minors under the age of 13 over the course of three years after moving into a family's Waldorf home, the Charles County State's Attorney said. A twice-convicted sex offender in Maryland who sexually abused more than a dozen minors is set to spend the rest of his life in prison, federal authorities announced on Wednesday.
