Drunk Driver Killed Child, Injured Two Others In Maryland Crash: State's Attorney
A Maryland woman who was drunk behind the wheel when she crashed her minivan, killing a child and injuring two others, has been convicted of felony manslaughter, authorities announced.
Ashley Nicole Nolan, 28, of Lexington Park, was found guilty on six charges, including grossly negligent manslaughter by motor vehicle, life-threatening injury while driving under the influence, and driving under the influence while transporting minors, according to St. Mary’s County State’s Attorney Jaymi Sterling.
She now faces up to 22 years in prison.

Brady A. Knatz, 26, of Hampstead, MD, began communicating with the York County teen, identified as S.C., on Sept. 25, 2024, using the Snapchat username "scooby_snacs," according to the affidavit of probable cause. The Maryland man who operated the "Razor Sharp Kennels" dogfighting enterprise is facing decades in prison, according to federal authorities.
Mario Flythe, 50, of Glen Burnie, pleaded guilty on Tuesday and admitted to training dogs with treadmills, weighted collars, and fed them animal steroids as part of his operation.
