A man who stalked his prey and shot a longtime friend was convicted this week on attempted murder and other charges for a 2022 shooting in Harford County, the state's attorney's office announced. Kory Putney, 46, was found guilty following a three-day trial in Harford County Circuit Court of attempting to gun down his friend of 20 years, who was able to identify him after surviving the shooting. One person was hospitalized overnight, and a suspect is in custody following a shooting outside a Harford County business late on Monday afternoon.
