Delaware natives Tamir Rasheek Davis and Darius Anthony Blalock, both 26, have been identified by police as the two who were killed in a shooting over the weekend.

Two others were hospitalized following the shooting shortly after 6 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2.

Troopers were called to the unit block of Chestnut Drive in Elkton, where there was a report of a man lying in the roadway who was rushed to Christianna Hospital and was still receiving medical care days later, according to state police on Monday, Nov. 4.

Two others were taken to area hospitals by Good Samaritans, where Davis later succumbed to his injuries at Christianna Hospital. A woman, who has not been identified, was also taken by car to Union Hospital for medical treatment for injuries sustained during the incident.

According to police, later on Saturday morning, a fourth person - later identified as Blalock - was found on the side of southbound I-95, where he was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

Investigators say that detectives believe there was an altercation at a residence in a Chestnut Drive home in Elkton which spilled outside.

At that point, an unknown assailant allegedly got out of the home, fired shots into a crowd of people standing outside. The crowd subsequently dispersed and the scene was cleared.

The incident remains under investigation.
