Patrol Officers Praised For Saving Lives, Apprehending Shooter In Maryland: Police Chief Some police officers in Frederick County are being praised for their quick thinking and actions after gunshots rang out and two people were found suffering from serious injuries over the weekend. Lives may have been saved early in the morning on Saturday, when officers on patrol in the area of E Church Street and Market Street reported hearing gunfire, leading to the arrest of 29-year-old Darryl Lee Cooke, Jr., who allegedly fired the shots.
