A Lancaster County man who describes himself as a “man of God” and serves as a part-time bishop at a Mennonite-rooted church is accused of starving and assaulting a juvenile family member forced to live in a shed, according to affidavits obtained by Daily Voice on Thursday, July 31, and social media post by the suspects.
Daryl Jay Sensenig, 41, and his wife, Grace Louise Sensenig, 42, of Reinholds, were arrested after Ephrata Police responded to a violent domestic dispute on the 800 block of Laurel Ridge Road around 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, police said.

A woman from DC who attacked ICE and FBI agents in an effort to block the transfer of a suspected 18th Street gang member is facing charges of her own, authorities announced.
Sydney Lori Reid, 44, was charged in US District Court on Tuesday, July 23, with assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the US Attorney’s Office on Tuesday.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22 outside the DC Central Detention Facility, federal prosecutors said.

Maryland Man Fires Shots At Victim During Maryland Dispute, Police Say
A Maryland man is behind bars after allegedly firing multiple shots at another person during a heated overnight argument, police said.
Officers with the Hagerstown Police Department responded to the 200 block of W. Franklin Street around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 27, for a report of shots fired.
“Within minutes, officers were able to identify the suspect from city surveillance cameras, locate him and place him under arrest,” HPD said in a statement.
