A 19-year-old Virginia man was killed and two others were hospitalized after their Honda slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer on I-68 in Maryland, state police said. Nihaal Babu Grandhi, 19, of Ashburn, was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on eastbound I-68 near mile marker 13 in Grantsville, according to Maryland State Police. The crash happened around 7:10 p.m. on Saturday, May 10. A hunter who fell out of a tree stand in West Virginia required an assist from a Maryland State Police helicopter after suffering serious injuries. At approximately 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7, the state police Aviation Command was called to a remote area in a Grant County mountain, where there was a reported injured hunter who was in a tricky location. A Maryland State Police helicopter came to the rescue of a 25-year-old construction worker across state lines in West Virginia after he took a fall off a roof. On Monday, Maryland State Police Aviation Command rescued a construction worker who fell two stories while working on a home in Hardy County in the Ashton Woods area.
