A convicted fentanyl dealer in Lexington Park who tried to outwait police in a back bedroom will now have plenty of time to think about it — behind bars.
Daisaun Altay Eric Culpepper, 31, has been sentenced to 27 years in prison, with 15.5 years of active incarceration, for possession of a large amount of fentanyl, destruction of evidence, and a probation violation, St. Mary's County State’s Attorney Jaymi Sterling announced this week.

Virginia Fugitive In Stolen Car Arrested In Maryland, Sheriff Says
A Virginia fugitive wanted for burglary was tracked down in Maryland, where officers found him in possession of a stolen car, authorities said.
Michael Anthony Kirk, Jr., 28, of Waldorf, was arrested by Charles County Sheriff’s officers assigned to Judicial Services, with help from the Neighborhood Enforcement Team and K9 Unit.
Kirk was wanted in Virginia on burglary charges and also had an active felony warrant in Maryland for violating probation related to a theft over $25,000 case, investigators said.
