Two people were airlifted to area trauma centers after a violent crash sent them flying from the back of a fully-loaded pickup truck in Maryland, authorities say. The single-vehicle rollover happened shortly before 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, in the area of Shaffers Mill Drive and Carriage Hill Road in Urbana, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office said. Volunteer firefighters pulled a person from the Susquehanna River after they fell from the I-95 bridge in Harford County, officials confirmed. Emergency crews raced to the I-95 Millard Tydings Bridge in Harford County shortly before 2 p.m. after a person fell into the Susquehanna River on Thursday, April 10. A Maryland State Police helicopter was required to rescue a hiker who was injured after slipping and falling from the top of a cliff onto the top of a train tunnel in Carroll County. Shortly after 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon, first responders were called to the area of Gaither Road and Railroad Avenue in Sykesville, where there was an injured hiker who fell approximately 20 feet down an embankment while walking in a wooded area.
