A Maryland State Police trooper had to be airlifted to the hospital after being struck by suspects fleeing from sheriff's deputies during a police pursuit in Calvert County. Shadeed Gregory Graham, 23 of Capitol Heights, Malik Demencio Lewis, 27 of Hagerstown, and Jordan Green, 27 of Bowie are all facing a host of charges after striking the trooper while attempting to avoid stop sticks during the chase, officials say. Speeding Stop In Lexington Park Lands Wanted Bowie Man Behind Bars, Sheriff Says
What started as a routine speeding stop in St. Mary's County landed a 23-year-old Bowie man behind bars on drug and weapon charges, according to the sherif's office. Deputies stopped a speeding vehicle shortly after 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 9 on Great Mills Road when a driver was spotted speeding through the area with Vincent Lavey Harrington in the front seat. During the subsequent stop, it was determined that Harrington had felony warrants out for his arrest in both St. Mary's and Charles counties. Police ID Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Two Drivers In Maryland (

Police have identified the pedestrian from Anne Arundel who was killed during a late-night crash in Prince George's County earlier this week after being struck by two drivers along a Bowie roadway. At approximately 9:10 p.m. on Monday, June 3, officers were called to the area of Enterprise Road and Chantilly Lane, where there was a reported crash involving a pedestrian, later identified as West River resident Michael Pyles, who was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
