Man, 76, Killed In Accidental Two-Alarm Pikesville Electrical Fire
An accidental electrical fire in Baltimore County resulted in the 10th fatality reported in 2024 after a 76-year-old man died at the hospital. Fire crews were called at around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday night to the 500 block of Shamrock Lane in PIkesville, when a two-alarm blaze broke out. Upon arrival, firefighters were met by flames coming from the home, and during a search of the residence, they found Poe in a second-floor bedroom. Explosions were reported and a fire had to be put out inside a Maryland church early on Friday morning in Baltimore, officials say. At approximately 4 a.m. on June 14, crews from the Baltimore Fire Department responded to the Christ Lutheran Church in the 700 block of South Charles Street, where there was a fire in the utility room, which caused an evacuation of the building.
