First responders from multiple agencies in Northern Maryland and Pennsylvania were called at around 7:45 a.m. on Saturday morning to a brush and woods fire in the area of Baldhill Lane and Silver Lane in Darlington after being alerted to flames by a utility worker in the area. Dozens of patients at the Perry Point VA Medical Center in Maryland were displaced overnight by a blaze that broke out in the building, according to the Fire Marshal. Multiple agencies were called at around 7 p.m. on Wednesday night to Building 23H when an accidental fire broke out on the roof.
