Crews Called To Federal US Navy Facility For Office Fire In Maryland
First responders were busy on Sunday morning when a fire broke out at the US Naval Surface Warfare Center in Bethesda. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue crews were called at around 7:45 a.m. on Nov. 17 to the NSWC Caderock building in the 9500 block of Mac Arthur Boulevard, where there was a fire inside the office area of the facility. Some businesses were evacuated on Friday morning in Montgomery County when gas leak was reported outside an area shopping center. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue crews were called before 11 a.m. on Nov. 15 to the 19700 block of Frederick Road in Germantown, when a two-inch gas line ruptured. First responders evacuated some businesses in the area and monitored the structures while Washington Gas responded to shut off the gas and make repairs. Several lanes were temporarily blocked in Montgomery County on Wednesday morning after a multi-vehicle crash sent one through a bus stop in Hillandale.
