A man accidentally shot himself at a Maryland gas station and had to be hospitalized, leading to a large drug and weapon bust in Anne Arundel County, according to police. Glen Burnie resident Joseph Lemarchant Montgomery, 40, was arrested and charged following an early-morning probe into a reported shooting at the Sunoco gas station on Nursery Road in Linthicum earlier this week. Carrie Lynn Nelson, 41, has been arrested and charged for her role in two separate attempted armed robberies that were reported minutes apart in Gaithersburg. What started as a routine speeding stop in St. Mary's County landed a 23-year-old Bowie man behind bars on drug and weapon charges, according to the sherif's office. Deputies stopped a speeding vehicle shortly after 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 9 on Great Mills Road when a driver was spotted speeding through the area with Vincent Lavey Harrington in the front seat. Attempted Murder Charge For Shooter Who Left Man With Head Wound In Maryland Home: Sheriff
One person suffered a head injury when a man opened fire outside of a home in Charles County, according to the sheriff's office. Waldorf resident DeWayne Carlos Murphy, 41, is facing attempted murder and other charges following an investigation into a shooting over the holiday weekend, authorities announced on Wednesday afternoon.
