Investigators ID Maryland Driver Killed After Veering Off-Road, Crashing Into Multiple Trees
A 52-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash over the weekend after losing control and striking multiple trees in Frederick, according to the sheriff's office, Kyint Cope was driving in the area of Sundays Lane and Bartgis Road at around 5:10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21 when his Toyota Corolla veered of the left side of the road. Cope was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. 'Excessive Speed' By Teens Believed To Be Factor In Fatal I-495 Crash: Maryland State Police
A 40-year-old Mercedes driver outside of his vehicle and on the shoulder on I-495 in Prince George's County was killed when a group of teenagers lost control and rear-ended him, state police say. Lanham resident Ayuk Etta was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash with a Honda Pilot on Sunday night on the Outer Loop of I-495 that also sent four others to the hospital. Investigators say that the Honda was heading north along the interstate in Lanham when the driver, Biruk Grimes, 19, lost control and struck the rear of the Mercedes.
