A 16-year-old had to be airlifted to an area hospital after being shot during a gathering at a Maryland apartment complex overnight, officials say. Members of the Frederick County Sheriff's Office were called shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9 to the Urban Green Apartments in the 3300 block of Galena Drive, where they found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest inside the clubhouse. A 47-year-old woman was killed and a man suffered traumatic injuries during an apartment stabbing that was reported in Anne Arundel County late on Friday afternoon. At approximately 5 p.m. on Aug. 9, officers were called to a building in the unit block of South River S in Edgewater, where there was a reported stabbing with two people suffering from injuries.
