A deadly shooting near a Prince George's County funeral home is under investigation, police confirmed. Officers were called to the 7100 block of Old Landover Road at around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning to investigate a reported shooting, and further investigation led to the grisly discovery of a dead body inside a vehicle in the 7400 block. According to police, they are searching for multiple suspects who arrived at the initial scene and opened fire before fleeing in a vehicle. A suspicious suspect who moseyed his way into a Frederick County high school on Tuesday morning before assaulting a staff member who escorted him out is at large, according to the sheriff's office. At approximately 11 a.m. on Sept. 17, a questionable man entered Urbana High School through an exterior door, and was walking the halls until a staff member spotted him and attempted to take him outside of the building. A 41-year-old District resident has been identified as the person killed in a midday stabbing in a Prince George's County parking lot over the weekend. At approximately 2 p.m. on Aug. 10, officers were called to the 5600 block of Silver Hill Road, where they found Christopher Woodland suffering from a stab wound. A 16-year-old had to be airlifted to an area hospital after being shot during a gathering at a Maryland apartment complex overnight, officials say.
