Teen Dead, Second Man Critically Injured In Maryland Double Shooting, Police Say
An 18-year-old from Germantown is dead, and another man is fighting for his life after a late-night shooting in Greenbelt, police said.
The fatal incident unfolded Sunday, Dec. 15, just before 11 p.m. in the 8500 block of Greenbelt Road. Responding officers found Rasheed Davis and another man suffering from gunshot wounds, according to Prince George’s County Police.
Both victims were rushed to a nearby hospital, where Davis was pronounced dead, while the second victim remains in critical condition, authorities said on Monday afternoon.

A former fire captain with the Paxtang Fire Company is facing charges of forgery, reckless endangerment, and driving without a license, police announced on Thursday, Dec. 5.
Steven Bartholomew, 55, allegedly created seven fraudulent training certificates from the University of Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute, presenting them as proof of advanced firefighting training, according to Swatara Township Police. Bartholomew used these falsified documents, along with self-reported experience, to secure his appointment as fire captain earlier this year.

Guns, Ammunition Seized As Three Arrested During Joint Operation With ATF In Maryland: Sheriff
Authorities arrested three individuals, including a juvenile charged as an adult, following a collaborative operation between the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), officials said.
On Thursday, Nov. 21, search warrants were executed at three residences across St. Mary’s County as part of an investigation led by the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division.
