Southern Maryland Standoff With Barricaded Person Resolved, Sheriff Says There will be an increased police presence in a St. Mary's County neighborhood on Thursday as the sheriff's office continues to investigate following a barricade situation, officials say. At approximately 9 a.m. on Aug. 8, deputies were called to the Columbia Commons neighborhood on Creeping Primrose Lane in Lexington Park, where there were reports of shots fired, according to Capt.
