A construction worker in Harford County suffered serious injuries and had to be airlifted to an area hospital after falling out of a truck and into the foundation of a home in Joppa. First responders were called before noon on Tuesday, Sept. 3 to the 1400 block of Philadelphia Road, where there was a reported injury at the construction site with a possibly unstable truck at the scene. There was a fatal pedestrian crash in a work zone along I-95 in Harford County on Tuesday morning, state police say. Shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 6, troopers were called to the southbound lanes of the interstate near the Maryland 152 overpass in Joppa, where there was a crash involving a pedestrian and dump truck. According to the preliminary investigation, a dump truck in the work zone was backing up with it struck a worker. A 34-year-old woman got an unexpected wakeup call from her neighbor on Saturday morning when she was stirred by the pounding on her door that alerted her to a fire inside her Harford county home.
