Off-duty PA State Police Liquor Enforcement Officer, Benjamin J. Brallier, age 44, of Kennedy Township, formerly of Moon Township, was found stabbed while running near near the 1900 block of Hassam Road on Montour Trail on Monday, Oct. 21 at 2:52 p.m., as Daily Voice previously reported. He later died in an area hospital.

A trio in Maryland who helped organize and run an international organized theft ring are facing charges for their roles in a large-scale operation targeting retailers, federal authorities announced.
Sindy Apola Hernandez, 38, Johnsie Steven Reina Hernandez, 20, and Edwin Gonzalez Rodriguez, 30, all of Hyattsville, have been charged for having underlings rob stores, which in turn, they shipped to Honduras and other countries.

A newly discovered comet is about to make its closest pass by Earth later in the week and is expected to be visible through the end of October.
Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS, or C/2023 A3, which was first identified last year, is expected to be especially vivid, and its brightness could even compare to Jupiter, according to The New York Times.
