Dozens of patients at the Perry Point VA Medical Center in Maryland were displaced overnight by a blaze that broke out in the building, according to the Fire Marshal. Multiple agencies were called at around 7 p.m. on Wednesday night to Building 23H when an accidental fire broke out on the roof. Investigators say that the building's generator was tested earlier in the day, and it was determined that the hot surface of the exhaust pipe ignited the roofing material adjacent to the pipe. A Southern Maryland home recently put on and taken off the market was completely destroyed by a blaze that was discovered by a man from a nearby military base, according to the Fire Marshal. Multiple agencies were called early on Monday morning to investigate a fire in St. Ignigoes, where there was a reported house fire. Upon arrival, crews were met by flames showing from the residence, with smoke billowing throughout the area.
