Sex Offenders To Be Actively Monitored By Baltimore County Police On Halloween There will be an increased police presence in some Baltimore County neighborhoods as the department plans to proactively monitor certain sex offenders on Halloween. An alert was issued by the agency advising that officers will be monitoring registered sex offenders who are prohibited from having contact with children on Thursday, when they head out to trick-or-treat. These Are The 'Spookiest Streets' In Maryland, Virginia: New Survey Just in time for Halloween, a new survey has been released, and the DMV region is home to some of the country's "spookiest streets."  A survey of 3,000 drivers conducted by Volkswagen determined which area roadways are ready for the holidays, headlined by Route 9 in Sleepy Hollow, a New York destination. Others at the top of the list include Old Ghost Road in Georgia, Superstition Mountains Apache Trail in Arizona, the Haunted Highway in Louisiana and Dead Man's Curve in Cleveland.
