Man Killed Crashing Into Barrier On Indian Head Highway In Maryland Identified By Police

A Maryland man was killed in a violent crash over the weekend when his car slammed into a protective barrier and jersey walls in Oxon Hill, police said.

Patrick Bernard Williams Jr., 31, of Oxon Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene following the single-vehicle crash on northbound Indian Head Highway early Saturday morning, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.

Officers responded to the area of Indian Head Highway and the Kerby Hill Road overpass around 2:20 a.m. on March 15 after receiving reports of the crash, officials said.

Investigators say Williams was traveling northbound when, for reasons now under investigation, his vehicle crashed into a protective barrier before colliding with jersey walls.

The crash remains under investigation by the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit.
