Virginia Stabbing Suspect First To Be Convicted Based On Drone Evidence In Montgomery County
For the first time, investigators in Montgomery County have secured a conviction largely through evidence collected by drones. Fairfax County resident Jovan Ali, 45, was found guilty by a jury of second-degree assault in connection to a stabbing in April. Prosecutors say that on April 17, Ali was involved in an altercation near the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Sligo Avenue in Silver Spring, which was witnessed by a Montgomery County Police officer. Child Recovering At Hospital After Accidentally Shooting Herself In Maryland Apartment: Police
A 3-year-old girl is recovering at an area hospital and a teen is facing a weapons charge after the child accidentally shot herself inside a Montgomery Village apartment, police say. Shortly after noon on Tuesday, June 4, officers were called to the 18700 block of Walkers Choice Road, where there was a report of an injured child.
