A beloved Maryland community hub is getting ready to welcome neighbors back after a year away.
The Lincoln Park Community Center in Rockville will officially reopen on Wednesday, July 1, following a major renovation that began in May 2025, city officials announced.
Before the doors fully reopen, the Montgomery County center is giving residents a sneak peek.
From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, June 22, through Tuesday, June 30, visitors can tour the renovated space, renew or purchase memberships, and take part in drop-in open-house activities.

A new food survey suggests one kitchen staple has moved well beyond snack status.
Talker Research released the survey on Tuesday, May 26, after polling 5,000 Americans, 100 in each state, about how they eat, buy, and think about cheese.
The survey was conducted by Talker Research and commissioned by Undeniably Dairy, which represents American dairy farmers and importers.
It was released ahead of National Dairy Month, which begins with National Cheese Day on Thursday, June 4.

The DC region is on pace for its driest year in nearly 25 years, according to the National Weather Service, as worsening conditions along the Potomac River have triggered a Drought Watch affecting customers across Maryland and Virginia.
