A Maryland State Police helicopter was required to rescue a hiker who was injured after slipping and falling from the top of a cliff onto the top of a train tunnel in Carroll County. Shortly after 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon, first responders were called to the area of Gaither Road and Railroad Avenue in Sykesville, where there was an injured hiker who fell approximately 20 feet down an embankment while walking in a wooded area. Crews had to make a tricky rescue in Baltimore County on Wednesday afternoon when an unsuspecting man plummeted 30 feet into a well. A construction worker in Harford County suffered serious injuries and had to be airlifted to an area hospital after falling out of a truck and into the foundation of a home in Joppa. Firefighter, Resident Injured During Maryland Apartment Fire That Left Dozens Displaced
More than a dozen apartments were deemed uninhabitable in Howard County and a firefighter was injured when a blaze broke out early on Saturday morning.
