Students Fall Ill, Prompting Evacuation At High School In Harford County (Updated) John Carroll High School in Bel Air was evacuated Monday afternoon after multiple students suddenly fell ill, according to police. First responders were called to the school shortly before noon on Dec. 9, as fire officials investigated unknown conditions that may have caused the students’ symptoms. In total, 13 people were treated and evaluated at area treatment facilities while several others took themselves to the hospital. All injuries were considered non-life-threatening. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and public health officials are investigating infections linked to recalled Yu Shang Food ready-to-eat meat and poultry products. The illnesses were in New York, New Jersey, California, and Illinois between Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, Oct. 24, the agency said.
