The Anne Arundel County Police Department is cautioning residents to be cautious after a Severn man was electrocuted by downed power lines and later died at an area hospital. Late on Sunday afternoon, first responders were called to a home in the 1400 block of Maryland Avenue, when a man suffered serious injuries after being shocked by the wire, investigators say. A 40-year-old wrong-way driver was killed in a head-on crash in Anne Arundel County late on Thursday night, police say. Glen Burnie resident Christopher Gianfrancesco has been identified by investigators as the person killed in a three-vehicle crash involving two other drivers at around 10 p.m. on June 27. Glen Burnie resident William Brown III, 24, has been identified by investigators as the motorcyclist involved in a fatal crash on June 16. Lifeguards Save Young Girl's Life At Community Pool In Maryland With Swift CPR
Fast-acting lifeguards are being credited for saving a young girl's life after she stopped breathing at a community pool in Maryland on Monday night. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department received a 911 call at approximately 7:30 p.m. on June 10 from the Whittier Community Pool in Severna Park, where a girl was pulled from the water by on-duty lifeguards and was not breathing.
