New details have been released by the Prince George's County Police Department after a 37-year-old woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver over the weekend. Temple Hills resident Portia Newton has been identified by investigators as the person who was found in the roadway on Saturday night. According to police, at around 8:50 p.m. on Nov. 16, officers were called to the 4400 block of Saint Barnabas Road, where they found Newton suffering from traumatic injuries.
