The investigation into a reported domestic assault with multiple children inside a Charles County home landed a man behind bars overnight, according to the sheriff's office. Hughesville resident Brandon Wayne Blitch, 38, was arrested on Monday night following the probe into reports of shots fired inside an area home. Some residents have been advised to stay in their homes as the Prince George's County Police Department continues to attempt to peacefully negotiate a barricade situation in Langley Park. There will be an increased police presence in a St. Mary's County neighborhood on Thursday as the sheriff's office continues to investigate following a barricade situation, officials say. Police in Prince George's have released explosive photos as they seek the public’s assistance in tracking down a suspect wanted for arson and for firing shots into a Greenbelt residence. Some businesses in St. Mary’s County have been instructed to shelter in place as the sheriff’s office investigates reports of shots fired. At approximately 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18, members of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of MacArthur Boulevard in California to investigate.
