The Ocean City Police Department was called shortly before 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20 to investigate a pedestrian crash involving a tram on the Boardwalk near Dorchester Street. According to investigators, a 2-year-old boy was crossing the tram pad when he was struck by a southbound tram. Paramedics pronounced the child dead at the scene.
