An argument between two men outside of a Calvert County home turned deadly when a Virginia man pulled out a gun and shot his victim on Wednesday night. Fredericksburg resident Anthony Wayne Simpson, 40, is facing murder and other charges in connection to the fatal shooting of 39-year-old North Beach native William Lee Hutcherson near his residence, according to the sheriff's office. A 52-year-old motorcyclist was killed overnight after losing control of his Harley and crashing off the roadway in Calvert County. North Beach resident Richard Evan Ganyon, Jr. has been identified by the sheriff's office as the person whose body was found following a crash in Owings. A death investigation has been launched after a 19-year-old woman was killed in a fatal crash in St. Mary's County that left her friends and family reeling. “Driver error” has been determined as the cause of a crash that left a man operating a personal mobility scooter with what are being described as serious injuries in Calvert County.
