Naked, Covered In Blood: Virginia Navy Corpsman Sentenced For DC Businessman's Slaying
A Virginia man who was found naked and covered in blood after dragging his victim’s dead body out of his own Washington, DC apartment in 2019 will spend years behind bars, authorities announced.
Collin Potter, 30, of Quantico, pleaded guilty in February to second-degree murder while armed for the butchering of Vongell Lugo on Jan. 6, 2019, in which Potter stabbed his victim 42 times, federal officials said.
This week, he was sentenced by a judge to 16 years in prison for the fatal stabbing.

A suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a Maryland teen in Puerto Rico has surrendered, police said.
Carlos Aníbal Rosado Martínez, 23, turned himself in Wednesday morning, July 5, according to the Commissioner of the Puerto Rico bureau of police.
Rosado Martinez is accused of killing Tommy Grays III in Isla Verde earlier that week, in an altercation on the beach, according to police and NBC Washington.
Tommy, of Olney, was a senior at Blake High School.
Rosado Martinez has been charged with murder, attempted murder and gun offenses.

Brother Convicted Of Killing Sister, 6, Young Cousins In Prince George's County: Report
A Maryland man has been convicted on multiple counts of murder for stabbing his young sisters and cousins to death in Prince George’s County, according to an NBC Washington report.
In August 2017, Antonio Shark Williams, then 25, was tasked by his mother with watching his 6-year-old sister, Nadira Withers, and New Jersey cousins Ajayah Decree, 6, and Ariana Decree, 9, in the 6400 block of Brooke Jane Drive in Clinton, but when she returned home, they were found in bed with stab wounds, police said.

School Bus Involved In Multi-Vehicle Maryland Crash, Multiple Hospitalizations Reported
A multi-vehicle crash involving a school bus in Charles County left several with injuries on Thursday afternoon, according to the school district.
Shortly after 2 p.m. on Crain Highway near the area of Marshalls Corner in White Plains, the bus was involved in the crash with four other vehicles, leaving at least eight, including several students, with varying injuries, according to NBC Washington.
