Pedestrian Hospitalized After Being Struck By Pick-Up Truck Crossing Maryland Road: Sheriff A 36-year-old Maryland man was hospitalized after being struck by a pick-up truck attempting to cross a busy roadway in St. Mary’s County, authorities announced. Leonardtown resident Matthew Scott Hurry was attempting to cross the travel lanes on Three Notch Road and Laurel Grove Park in Laurel Grove when he was hit by a Ford F-150 driven by a 62-year-old Mechanicsville man, according to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff's Office.
