Security Guard Cut By Burglary Suspect During Safeway Robbery In Maryland, Police Say
Two grocery store thieves did not go down quietly after being caught red-handed stealing merchandise and then attacking an officer in Montgomery County, police say. Fernando Calix, 38, and Christian Alexander Gonzalez, 18, have been arrested following an incident that played out in Safeway on Connecticut Avenue in Kensington when they pulled a knife on a security guard attempting to stop them from stealing. Members of the Montgomery County Department of Police were called to the 10500 block of Connecticut Avenue earlier this week to investigate a reported armed robbery involving the pair. …

New photos and videos have been released by police investigators in Maryland as they attempt to locate a BMW-driving duo who were caught on camera violently breaking into a Montgomery County hardware store and stealing power tools. On Monday, Oct. 3, investigators from the Montgomery County Department of Police Second District offered new details about a September robbery at Strosniders Hardware in the 10500 block of Connecticut Avenue in Kensington.
